    General Guideline

All submissions must be checked, by the author for similarity using iThenticate or Turnitin and the similarity index (excluding references) must be below 20%. Reports must be uploaded along with the manuscript. Submissions that do not meet this criterion will be desk-rejected.

An Open Consent Form, which can be acquired from the journal’s website, must be signed and submitted with the manuscript. If there are multiple authors, each must sign the form.

Submissions must comply with current Turkish Language Association (TDK) spelling guidelines, be grammatically correct, and avoid irrelevant content.

Manuscripts must be submitted only via the journal’s website: https://mozaika.yeniyuzyil.edu.tr. Hand-delivered copies or submissions via mail, or email will not be considered.

Authors who submit their studies to our journal are required to add their ORCID number to their user credentials.

The manuscripts submitted to the journal should not have been published anywhere before or accepted for publication in a future issue.

Unless otherwise decided by the editorial board, manuscripts in all languages will not be considered for evaluation if the abstract section is shorter than 200 words or longer than 250 words. The same rule applies to manuscripts whose the main body of the text (excluding abstract and references) is shorter than 5,000 words or longer than 7,000 words. Each submission must include a title and an abstract in two languages, accompanied by at least 3 and no more than 5 keywords in both languages. The abstract should briefly and clearly convey the purpose, scope, framework, and theoretical background of the study. It must be written in 10-point font size, and unless absolutely necessary, it should not include citations, table, figure, or chart numbers.

Uploading a manuscript to the journal’s electronic system via its official website is considered a formal submission and initiates the evaluation process. No royalties or publication fees are paid for accepted works.

As IYYU Mozaika Journal of Language, Literature, Culture, and Translation is an electronic journal, all stages—from submission to publication—are conducted digitally.

All legal, financial, and ethical responsibilities that may arise from the content of submitted manuscripts rest with the author(s); the journal assumes no liability in this regard.

The manuscript title should be expressive and reflective of the content. It must be centred, written in bold, all uppercase letters, using 12-point font size, and should not include paragraph indentation. Section headings within the text should be aligned to the left, bold, and use title case (only the first letter of each word capitalized), without any additional formatting.

The structure of the manuscript must follow the following order: abstract, main body, extended abstract (for manuscripts not written in English), references, and appendices (if any). The main body must include clearly identified introduction, and conclusion sections. The introduction should sufficiently explain the topic, aim, scope, framework, and the theoretical foundation of the study, and should outline how these components are presented throughout the manuscript. Main headings, sub-headings and intermediate headings should be used by the author to maintain clarity and a logical flow. The conclusion must present the findings in alignment with the aims stated in the introduction. It should reflect the study’s scope and outcomes and must not introduce new topics that are not previously discussed in the main body.

Following acceptance for publication, a 500–1000-word extended abstract in English must be prepared for manuscripts written in languages other than English. The extended abstract should account for approximately 10–15% of the total word count and provide a detailed elaboration of the content presented in the abstract section.

In book reviews and translations, the title, abstract, and keywords must be provided in English. For book reviews, the beginning of the text must include the book’s cover image and bibliographic information (publication year, edition number, place of publication). In translations, a footnote must be added indicating the bibliographic details of the translated source.

Manuscripts that do not adhere to the journal’s guidelines on citation and referencing (APA 7) will not be accepted unless corrected.
